Welcome to School Closing Probabilities!  When a storm may impact school activities within 48 hours, we forecast the probably that weather or cleanup conditions will warrant a closing or delay.  Probabilities update as necessary, up to several times per day.  More information about the products can be found under tutorials.

School Closing Probabilities is in the experimental stage.  The current domain name, tvstormwatch (tv = three village), is a prototype for a much larger web service we hope to develop that will allow weather enthusiasts across the country to add and forecast probabilities for their own school.  In order to take this next step, however, we need to determine how much popularity such a service would obtain.  Also, we need to collect data on how accurate these forecasts can be, and experiment with different statistical methods in the process.  We appreciate any feedback.  You can also show your support by liking us on facebook (button below).
